Backyards That Require Retaining Walls!
Posted by Nathan Edwards
Does your backyard have a slope to it? Are you thinking you would like to install a pool but can't because your yard runs downhill to bad? Even if your yard is not level, more than likely you can install a pool if you want to.
This is where a retaining wall to help with grade situations can come into play. There needs to be some planning before hand to do this. You want to make sure everything ties together and looks good at the end of the project. As a pool contractor we will work with a landscape company that would build the actual wall. It takes some job coordination and planning so that things happen in the order they need to.
Watch this short video of a pool project we did that required the use of a retaining wall. The slope in this yard was very steep which required a tall retaining wall. Most jobs would not require a wall this tall, but it shows that even in the extreme cases, pool projects can happen with a little pre-planning.
